What's with the parking?

You might have noticed parking can be tricky along 18th avenue. As many cars as possible are parallel parked on either side of the street. This street is owned by the city. Which means neither the board of Phase 1 or Phase 2 can tow from the street, even if the car is in a red zone. Most of these red zones are fire lanes and a few at the edges of the parking lots are to ensure that drivers can safely exit onto 18th avenue. In other cases there are cars that remain immobile, stranded on the street for weeks.

When these nuisance situations continue it makes parking worse for everyone who lives here. As mentioned earlier the board can NOT tow from the street, but we have successfully removed nuisance vehicles through Everett Code Enforcement.

It's possible that you or another owner notices a nuisance situation before the board does. In that case we urge you to make a call or send an e-mail to code enforcement. This will help improve the situation along 18th avenue much faster.

As for parking within our property, the expectation is that each vehicle will be registered with our property management company, and a pass will be clearly displayed from the windshield. The association does have the authority to remove nuisance vehicles in our unmarked parking spaces and fire lanes.
